My 4 album epic musical, “Kingdom Of Nowhere”, is about a heroin-addicted musician and a sex worker who grew up together and faced a lot of traumatic shit together…the kind of shit most people don’t even know or want to know it exists, let alone how many children lose their innocence and are forever emotionally damaged. It takes place in a world within a world… inside a society that people tend to ignore. There’s a lot of people like us out there, yet our voices are stiffled by many factors. Some put upon ourselves yet, many of such cencorship tools are caused by inevetiable societal displacement. You call them psych wards, jails, and rehabs. To us they are just more shadows to hide us in….to quiet us…to sweep us under the rug. The cycling of that is swift and full of heartache, pain, and shame. Once you cross a certain line you’re crossing that border into such a shadow world stuck in a revolving door always leading back to those shadow worlds which is near impossible to escape. My greatest hope for this musical is that it inspires those chained to their past mistakes or trauma put upon them to break free and for those people who are unaware or ignore those individuals to learn we are all one regardless of factors of religion, skin color, financial status, language spoken, drug use, past trespasses or mental illness. We are all flowers blooming from the same garden. We are all human and none of us are perfect.
